I started this blog March 21st 2011. It has been almost once per week for five years, more than 250 articles later. In theory, everything that needs to be said have already been said (or hinted).

During this time, we all changed – age, life experiences, knowledge, fitness level, etc.. Along with that, we may have new perspectives on old concepts, sometimes it may not be the concept itself but a deeper appreciation of why some of those concepts are key to your success, sometimes it may be new ways of “how to apply”, etc.

A front-flip (or front-tuck) is still a front tuck whether it is the first year of completing it versus an olympic gymnast. However, those that have mastered it can do it on any floor, can link to other technique, add a twist to it, add more rotations while in the air, or can do it from a standing position and can land it controlled without any step-outs, etc.

Concepts/ideas are just like any physical skills, you can be aware of the concept and say “YES! You told us that before…”, to being able to apply it without even thinking about it, or being able to explain the concept to outsiders, or being able to apply it under very different conditions.

I have grown over these few years as well and I appreciate your presence and involvement. I am looking forward to the next 5 years!

I emailed you all last Tuesday on the different ways of approaching the form. I want to make sure that you received and thought through it. If there are questions, make sure you ask, if not, try to detail each of the point as to what it means.
