I am often asked how can you fight someone who is bigger and stronger than you? This really depends on whether you are fighting in the ring as a sport, on the street or simply politics.

Lets be realistic, in the sport arena, they divide all the fighters into weight class for good reason; Force = mass X acceleration and so body weight is an important part of the equation. Fighters usually weigh more than their competition weight to maximize the weight advantage. For the general public, more weight does not always mean more muscles, however, for the highly trained fighters, there is a strong correlation. If they are trained properly, more muscles do yield more speed and can protect what is underneath better (therefore allows them to take more).

Weight is easily measurable and is as objective as you can get. However, if you look at the F= M X A equation, speed or acceleration is the other component. While speed / acceleration is physically measurable, it is not easy to measure consistently because it all depends on how hard the person try.

Physical size between individuals can differ quite a bit, however, size of the head varies a lot less. Furthermore, the ability to think and adapt is something that someone cannot see from outside. Human survive better than lions / tigers because of our ability to invent/use tools. It is really important to always keep the bigger picture in mind.

If you fight on the same plane using just the external physical attributes, you will have a hard time with a bigger opponent. Therefore, besides physical attribute training, you must train skills, strategy, creativity and adaptability.
