A lot of kids don’t see the value in studying academics (or in math). If you study math in isolation, then of course, it can be dry and hard to understand. However, it all honesty, Las Vegas set their odds based on math, knowing if you have enough fuel to get to your destination involve math. Everything around us have some relationship to math. Sadly, it is the bad teachers that got us to hate math.

Applying seemingly unrelated disciplines together often give us new perspective and sometimes breakthroughs. For example, lots of people take baths but it takes Archimedes to discover the Eureka principle. A person’s ability to learn “off discipline” (or often referred to as open mind) becomes the key determining factor.

Exercise
It is easy to see how martial arts helps with your career and study. For this exercise, I want you to identify a specific piece of knowledge / experience from your current job / study that help you in martial arts.
