We didn’t really have a chance to talk things through during class.
Some observations from your individual responses:
– Not everyone can see that the interesting wave line from the first one is due to different length of each individual pendulum, varying from short (and therefore faster) to long on the other side. The cumulative effect causes the visible wave line to change over time.
– All of you notice different things from the same set of videos. The list of videos is a constant, how you interpret or learn from it depend on your prior knowledge, what you are looking for, your personality, etc. You may all be attending the same kung fu class, but I can assure you that not everyone is catching the same things. Sometimes you need to go through the same content to be able to see it from multiple angles and to really understand.
– There are multiple ways of looking at efficiencies, some of you look at output power efficiencies, some look at time efficiencies. It is not a matter which one is better, it is more what is better given a specific situation / requirement.
– Everyone know about circles and straight lines but not everyone knows how to convert from one to another – a few of those examples on the video list are quite ingenious.

Exercise
I don’t believe anybody read through the wiki definitions which I understand, a picture is better than a thousand words. Guess what, this week read through the wiki links from last week. Try to pick up at least one useful idea /fact that is relevant from EACH of the links.
