You need to interact with others to improve. you cannot become an expert in martial arts by going into hibernation, practice a solo form or just meditate your way through.

Interaction training is a chance for you to experiment which will help you refine your ability to ‘read’, ‘approach’ and ‘adapt’.

Marketing and sales ‘interacts’ with potential customers. A good sales presentation is not just about describing all the features of the product. It is about highlighting the most relevant points to your targeted audiences. Furthermore, if you don’t eventually reach the ultimate goal which is to ‘close the sale’, you still failed regardless of how people appreciate the product / presentation.

Martial art’s goal is not always a ‘knock-out’ or ‘to destroy’. Therefore, techniques has to be scale-able.

In martial arts, when you interact with other people, you feel the difference between individuals due to size, strength, speed, preferred side, etc. At the most basic level, it is important to appreciate the implications of those differences and be able to adapt accordingly.

Aside from the obvious physical differences, there are other human factors that need to be considered. For example, personality, intent, toughness, reaction to a stimulus, reaction to adversity and many more.

The ability to see the full picture without over-thinking is very important in street survival.

While every person is different, there are still commonalities that covers close to 90% of the population. What are they?
If human traits are so complex, what are the top few things you want to find out within the first few minutes of encounter? Explain also how you are going to find out as well as train on improving it.
